Most of the time, Jerry Posner can be found blogging about gratitude, speaking at conferences, and lecturing at wellness resorts … but this summer you can see him performing fun, old timey tunes with his uke (maybe even an Elvis classic) and fancy strumming on his dulcimer and autoharp!

Rees Shad & The Conversations
The Conversations are a swinging Berkshire based Americana combo made up of drummer Bobby Kay (Cole Broderick, Ellen MacIlwaine), bassist Jeff Link (Robben Ford, Albert Cummings), and percussionist Carlos Valdez (Mambo Kikongo) which is led by singer/guitarist/songwriter Rees Shad to cross a wide range of genres and deliver a swinging form of Americana that is both literate, imaginatively played, and grooving! Audiences at a Conversations show enjoy a swinging evening of stories and song performed by a tight knit group of musicians who thoroughly enjoy playing and sharing their music, and as a result the audience get swept up in the joy they exude.

Carol & Nick Duo
The Carol & Nick Duo are dedicated to melody and lyrics, love jazz standards, the American songbook, and Bossa Novas--with a few pop tunes in the mix. Known as "The Small Band with the Big Sound," they offer seven-string guitar, live looper, percussion and vocals to create a sound that is rich and layered, subtle and swinging. They have worked for more than eight years in New York City, Connecticut's northwest corner and the Hudson valley at restaurants, clubs, vineyards, private parties, special events, and festivals. Nick Moran holds a BFA in Jazz Performance from City College of New York, studying with Ron Carter and, in addition the duo, has played extensively with his own organ trio. Carol Leven studied at the New School's Jazz program and privately with some of jazz's greatest vocal legends, including Mark Murphy and Sheila Jordan.

Abby Lappen is a singer/songwriter based in the Hudson Valley. An accomplished artist whose unique voice and crisp guitar mesmerize audiences with warmth and agility, her passion comes alive with a wide range of styles and genres. With five albums to date, Lappen has recorded and performed original songs and meaningful covers in a cross genre mix from haunting folk and satirical blues to jazzy ballads and syncopated melodies.
